Emergency services rush to fire at Broadway Hotel Kingaroy

Queensland ambulance and fire crews rushed to the Broadway Hotel on Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy on Friday morning following reports of a fire.

The fire was reported around 9am with paramedics responding.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said no one was injured.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said there were five crews at the scene, with some firefighters in breathing apparatus.

“The fire is contained and we did a primary search for possible fire extensions in the ceiling,” he said.

“Ergon Energy shut down the power at 9.20am and the fire was out just before 9.30am.

“We have just had another team go in to do some atmospheric testing.”
