One of Kingaroy’s leading car dealership looks set to see a major upgrade, as planning documents reveal a sleek, modernised building design that will consolidate all current brands under one roof.
The South Burnett Regional Council recently approved a minor amendment to the development approval, originally issued in 1999, for RAJ (Qld) Pty Ltd, which has unveiled ambitious plans for the dealership at 75 and 77-81 Kingaroy St.
The proposed upgrades reveal a more contemporary and streamlined appearance for the dealership, which is on the corner of Kingaroy and Baron streets, right next to the iconic Peanut Van.
The site, currently home to Huston Hyundai, Huston Mitsubishi, and Huston Motors, would see new signage for Ford, Hyundai, Nissan, Mitsubishi, and GWM, unifying all these brands under one roof, according to the plans.
The updated plans include modernised site layouts, enhanced floor plans and refreshed elevations.
The expansion of off-street parking was also included in the new plans which would see an increased capacity from 45 to 58 spaces.
No date has been announced for the potential upgrades.
