Police are hunting offenders who carried out a shocking Roma burglary before fleeing in a stolen car that was later crashed in Toowoomba. Here’s what police know so far:

Roma police are investigating a shocking break and enter that ended with offenders fleeing in and later crashing a stolen car.
Offenders entered the Rae St home through a closed back door and stole a set of cars before fleeing in the residents’ Toyota HiLux.
Roma police officer-in-charge Duane Frank said police spotted the stolen vehicle abandoned on the side of a road in the Toowoomba region on Monday night.
“The vehicle had been crashed after it ran off a road in the Gowrie Junction area and hit a culvert,” he said.
“The offender or offenders are still outstanding.”
