A man narrowly avoided injury after a truck rollover on Sunday night as emergency services rushed to a rural location.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said two fire crews were called to a truck rollover on the Warrego Highway at Drillham, at 1.20am on Monday, July 15.

The QFD spokeswoman said the eastbound lane was blocked with the truck on its side.

She said fire crews waited until about 7am for a haulage company to arrive on scene to tow the truck away.

The QFD spokeswoman said the truck, which was hauling livestock, impacted the highway until 8.50am on Monday morning.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the truck driver told police they had swerved to avoid a kangaroo before the truck rolled.

The QPS spokesman said it was not clear whether any livestock was euthanized as a result of the accident.

The Queensland Ambulance Service said a man declined to be taken to hospital.
