A man has been pulled from the Balonne River in St George on Tuesday afternoon, authorities have confirmed.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman confirmed two crews were tasked with the rescue, after reports of a person in the river were made at about 3.45pm on Tuesday. The first fire crew arrived at 4.17pm.
The spokeswoman said the person had been able to hold onto a tree, while fire and SES crews worked together to rescue the person.
An SES flood boat was deployed for the rescue.
The QFES spokeswoman confirmed the job was done at 5.27pm, with everyone once again safe on dry land.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed the man was assessed, but did not need to be take to hospital.
It has not yet been established why the man ended up in the river.
