A woman in her 40s has been taken to Rockhampton Hospital with head injuries after she was hit by a car on East St in the CBD.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the woman’s head injuries were non-life-threatening and she was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The accident occurred about 1.30pm.
Emergency services initially closed off the area surrounding the accident while paramedics treated the woman and the southbound lane of Fitzroy St was closed for a period of time.
