Two Central Queensland men have been taken into custody accused of committing several offences after police dramatically stopped a car using stingers.
Officers found and arrested a 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old man a short time later and charged this with offences related to being in an allegedly stolen vehicle.
Police allege between 12.30am and 3am, a blue Ford Falcon was allegedly stolen by an unknown person from a Statesman Drive property in Emerald before being sighted later the same day in Rockhampton.
Police have yet to charge someone for breaking into the Emerald property.
Police began tracking the vehicle and successfully deployed a tyre deflation device in Rockhampton about 11.45am on Wednesday.
The vehicle came to a stop a short time later on Norman Road, before two men allegedly fled the vehicle on foot.
Officers found and arrested the 19-year-old man and the 18-year-old man a short time later.
Lachlan Douglas Jenkins, 19, from Frenchville, is accused of committing several offences over several days, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle at Rockhampton on July 2, along with two enter dwelling and commit indictable offences, one of enter dwelling with intent to commit and obstruct police officer, allegedly in Parkside Place, Norman Gardens.
Mr Jenkins has also been charged with stealing on June 30 at Hidden Valley on the Capricorn Coast.
He was also charged with arson of a motor vehicle alleged to have taken place at Cobraball on July 1, along with unlawful use of a motor vehicle at Yeppoon and enter dwelling and commit at a dwelling in Hughes Street in Yeppoon.
He appeared before the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 3.
His bail application was refused.
An 18-year-old Norman Gardens man has been charged with three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and one count each of arson, stealing, enter premises and commit indictable offence, drive U.I.L., attempted enter dwelling with intent, possess utensils, and wilful damage.
Both men are remanded in custody and due to reappear on August 27.
Investigations are ongoing.
