A beachfront home situated in one of the most sought-after locations along the Capricorn Coast has sold to buyers from Victoria for $1.24 million.
The property at 43 Todd Avenue, Yeppoon, settled through Elite Real Estate Rockhampton on September 30.
Sales agent Marissa Titmarsh said she was “inundated with inquiry”, with more than 100 people asking about the property.
“Being a beachfront property the inquiry was coming in quite hot from local and interstate buyers looking at relocating or looking for a holiday home,” Ms Titmarsh said.
She said the property was purchased by a family from Victoria who would use the property for “holiday letting”.
“They had been looking for about six months,” she said.
“Their purchase was more for investment and then long term relocation of their family.”
She said the property was quite rare as it was an “actual beachfront”.
“You could walk out onto your front yard and you would be on the beach, which there aren’t many of those properties on the Capricorn Coast,” she said.
“There are about 40-odd that are actually beachfront, whereas the rest have beach views or ocean views.”
The two-storey property boasts five bedrooms, two bathrooms, two laundries and two kitchens, both with spacious open plan living, and sunrooms overlooking the pool and beautiful views of the ocean and islands.
The property is one of many homes on the Capricorn Coast that have sold for more than $1 million recently, including 21 Livingstone Lane, Cooee Bay, which sold at auction on August 28 for $1.11 million.
Pacific Heights also recorded a high-end sale, with 31 Pacific Drive selling for $1.2 million on September 29 through Pat O’Driscoll Real Estate.
The architecturally designed two-storey home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, pool and stunning sea views.
Ms Titmarsh said there was a demand for beachfront properties on the Capricorn Coast.
“It is a lifestyle and with COVID-19 we obviously can’t travel overseas, hence why everybody is looking to buy their dream home,” she said.
