A newly-built prestige home on the Capricorn Coast with uninterrupted ocean and island views has sold at auction to buyers from Sydney for $1.85 million.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom property at 46 Evelyn Street in Lammermoor was listed for sale through Harcourts Yeppoon on January 12 and went to auction on February 20.

Harcourts principal Mike Suthers said inquiries for the turnkey property were very strong, given its unique features.

Mr Suthers, who was the selling agent for the property, said he had two open houses before the auction with about 40 groups through the home and another 25-30 inquiries through realestate.com.au.

He said there were four registered bidders and 40 spectators at the auction on Sunday and that the property sold under the hammer for $1.85 million.

Mr Suthers said the buyer was from Sydney and looking to relocate to the Capricorn Coast for “work purposes”.

“The buyer was very ecstatic,” he said.

“He had looked at a couple of other properties in Yeppoon and eventually came back to this one because his wife had fallen in love with the property.”

Mr Suthers said the other three registered bidders at the auction were locals.

He said the property had been built over the past 12 months and had never been lived in.

Described as a “dream home right on the Capricorn Coast”, the architecturally designed property is tucked away for privacy, elevated for iconic north facing ocean views and located just metres from Lammermoor Beach.

“It’s brand new with beautiful views of the Keppel Islands and Keppel Bay and easy beach access,” Mr Suthers said.
