Police were called to a popular Central Queensland sport and recreation complex on Tuesday after receiving a concerning report about the behaviour of a male person.

It was initially reported to authorities that a male was seen performing an indecent act and loitering at the Cedric Archer Park sport and recreation complex at Gracemere around 10am.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said police attended the scene to investigate.

“Looks like (it) was a couple of teenagers allegedly having sex in the toilet, so nothing overly sinister,” the QPS spokeswoman said.

The initial report received by authorities was concerning given the complex at Gracemere is popular with local families and children.

The Cedric Archer Park facility has had a chequered past when it comes to juvenile delinquents, although there has not been any recent reports of concerning behaviour there.

Two years ago, this publication reported that families were abandoning the new pump track at the complex due to “a gang of bullies” continuing to cause trouble.

Just days after that report appeared, a teenage boy was taken to hospital after he was allegedly assaulted at the Gracemere Pump Track.
