Police make arrest after woman allegedly stabbed at Milman

Police have taken one person into custody after an alleged stabbing was reported at a property north of Rockhampton.

Initial reports suggest police were called to an alleged wounding at a private address, believed to be in Milman, on Thursday after 9am.

It is understood a woman suffered two stab wounds and that a steak knife was used in the alleged attack.

It is further understood her injuries were non-life threatening and she was transported to Rockhampton Hospital by Queensland Ambulance Service.

QAS and Queensland Police Service confirmed they were both on scene.

The dog squad was called to attend and police found the alleged suspect at the property and that person was taken into custody.

A crime scene was established.
