A man has denied trafficking meth and a substance known as a date rape drug, but admitted he supplied drugs to prisoners across the state.

A man police allege trafficked methamphetamines and a substance better known as a date rape drug in Mackay, has admitted he supplied drugs to prisoners in southeast and north Queensland.
Nathan Allan Cameron, 33, entered various pleas to his charges in Rockhampton Supreme Court on July 22, 2024, and is set to defend trafficking allegations in late October.
He pleaded not guilty to one count of trafficking methamphetamines and gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), which is a depressant and known as a date rape drug, between February 16, 2023 and April 24, 2023 in Mackay and other locations in Queensland.
Mr Cameron, who sported a mullet-style haircut when he appeared in court, entered pleas of guilty to supplying buprenorphine to prisoners at Kilcoy in Queensland’s southeast on November 24, 2022, and Cosgrove in north Queensland on December 4, 2022.
He pleaded guilty to five supply of dangerous drug charges involving GBH on February 17, 2023, meth on February 18, and meth twice on February 23, all at Mackay.
Mr Cameron then pleaded not guilty to four other drug supply charges regarding allegations he supplied meth in Townsville on April 11, 2023, plus twice on April 12, as well as supplying meth in Mackay on April 15.
He also pleaded not guilty to unlawful use of a Hertz Australia motor vehicle at Norman Gardens in Rockhampton on April 23, 2023 and possession of a category H weapon at the same location and date.
Mr Cameron’s matters have been listed for a four-day trial starting on October 28 and he was remanded in custody.
