Male person of interest arrested at Park Avenue home

Police arrested a 22-year-old man after a dramatic incident in Park Avenue on Tuesday afternoon where streets were cordoned off on Rockhampton northside.
A Queensland Police spokesman confirmed crews were called to a Park Avenue property at 1.40pm and were talking to a person inside the property.
He said it was not a mental health incident and no PSPA had been established.
It is understood negotiators were stationed in the front yard of a Gough Street property and police were in various positions around the home when a male ‘person of interest’ was taken into custody about 2.50pm.
Cordons were established at the intersections of Main Street and Glenmore Road, Thompson Street and Gough Street.
A Morning Bulletin reporter at the scene said multiple crews remained at the Gough Street property at 3.15pm searching the yard.
Police confirmed a 22-year-old man was arrested for an outstanding warrant after being located at the home.
