Police investigating a house fire in North Rockhampton on Thursday morning are appealing for information.
Emergency services were called to reports of the fire at a low-set house on Elphinstone St, Berserker, at 5.50am.
A spokeswoman for Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said three crews attended and extinguished the fire by about 6.15am.
It is understood the fire was in the fire was in the lounge room of the home.
The spokeswoman said the blaze didn’t spread far but fire investigator would attend.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics remained on standby, with no patients reported at the scene.
A spokeswoman for Queensland Police Service said a crime scene had been declared.
Investigations are continuing into the cause of the fire and police are seeking assistance from the community.
Anyone with information or who was in the vicinity of the intersection of Elphinstone and Water Streets from February 14 to 6am on February 15 and may have CCTV or dashcam footage, is urged to contact police.
It is understood no one was home at the time of the fire.
