Man flown to Rockhampton Hospital after dirt bike accident

A man’s condition has improved after he was flown to hospital with serious injuries following a dirt bike accident on a farm in the Rockhampton region.

Queensland Ambulance Service was called to the crash at a property in Alton Downs on Wednesday night at 6.44pm.

Paramedics treated a man in his 60s with head, chest, abdominal, pelvis and arm injuries.

The Rockhampton-based rescue helicopter, RACQ CapRescue, was tasked to the incident.

The man was flown to Rockhampton Hospital in a serious condition.

A spokeswoman for Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service said on Thursday that the man was in a stable condition.
