Motorbike rider dies after colliding with truck near Rockhampton
A man has been released from hospital after a tragic accident where a motorbike rider was killed in a collision with a truck in Central Queensland.

A man has been released from hospital after a tragic accident where a motorbike rider was killed in a collision with a truck near Rockhampton on Sunday morning.
Multiple police, fire and ambulance crews raced to the crash scene on Four Mile Rd/McEvoy Rd at Kabra, about 10am.
“We’re assessing a patient in a critical condition,” a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said shortly after the crash.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said police implemented traffic control on scene.
“We’re sorting road blockages,” she said.
On Sunday afternoon, police confirmed the motorbike rider, a 63-year-old Baralaba man, was declared deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
“Initial investigations indicate at 10am, a motorcycle rider was heading northbound along Four Mile Road when he collided with an oncoming truck,” police said.
“Witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage is urged to contact police.”
A QAS spokeswoman said a second patient, understood to be the truck driver, was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.
The patient, a man in his early 60s, had suffered a minor shoulder injury.
A spokeswoman for Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service said on Tuesday that the man had been discharged from hospital.
In Brisbane, a motorcyclist was seriously injured after striking a stationary vehicle on Jackson Rd, Sunnybank Hills, about 7.20pm on Sunday.
They were among seven motorcycle crashes and two bicycle incidents across the state on Sunday.
