The man was flown to Bundaberg Hospital in a serious condition, while a man travelling in the other vehicle was transported by ambulance to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.

The QPS spokeswoman said officers from the Forensic Crash Unit were investigating and no charges had been laid.
