Pedestrian struck, driver injured in separate incidents

A pedestrian and motorist were transported to Rockhampton Hospital by ambulance following separate traffic accidents in Rockhampton overnight Saturday.

A pedestrian and motorist were transported to Rockhampton Hospital by ambulance following separate traffic accidents in Rockhampton overnight Saturday.

A male pedestrian in his 40s suffered minor injuries after a collision with a vehicle in Archer St, The Range at 6.53pm, Saturday, and was transported to hospital by QAS paramedics in a stable condition.

A man in his 30s was also injured when the vehicle he was driving ran off the side of Lower Dawson Road, Allenstown and collided with a pole at 4.55am on Sunday.

Two Queensland Fire Department crews raced to the scene however the driver wasn't trapped and they left the scene in the hands of other emergency services.

The injured driver was transported to hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.

The Queensland Police Service has been approached for further details.
