A man has suffered suspected head and shoulder injuries after being allegedly bashed and robbed in Rockhampton on Thursday morning.
Police were called to Archer Park Motel on Albert Street about 8.10am after a report a man had been assaulted.
“Initial investigations indicate a 39-year-old Logan man was assaulted and a number of his items stolen,” a Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said QAS attended the scene and assessed a man for head and shoulder injuries.
“He was taken in a stable condition to Rockhampton Hospital,” the QAS spokesman said.
Thursday’s incident comes the day after Rockhampton police revealed some of the measures they are taking to address a spike in stolen cars and break-ins around Central Queensland, including calling in PolAir.
Police investigations into the Archer Park Motel incident remain ongoing.
“Anyone with information or relevant footage is urged to contact police,” the QPS spokeswoman said.
