QLD's 2022 road toll described as "concerning"

The devastated girlfriend of a young man who died in a Central Queensland motorbike crash has shared a heartbreaking tribute to her partner, describing his tragic death as a ‘nightmare’.

Heartbreaking tributes have been shared in memory of Ryan Passmore, 28, as family and friends come to terms with the tragic loss.

Ryan, from the Central Queensland town of Mount Morgan west of Rockhampton, was riding his motorbike in the town on Sunday night when he lost control.

He suffered injuries to his arms and chest and was rushed to Rockhampton Hospital, but sadly later died from his injuries.

Ryan’s girlfriend Klarissa Maluga shared a tear-jerking tribute to her partner.

“You are my person, my human, my man and my love,” she said.

“You weren’t supposed to leave me. You were my forever. You showed me what true love was, accepted me in all forms and all moods.

“Who am I going to annoy now? Who is going to pay out my blonde moments and laugh at me when I make the dumbest joke that I think is hilarious.

“I need you to be mad at me for tickling you, for making the bed with a flat sheet, for laughing at you when you’re trying to be serious. I need you to take up the whole bed, to lay half on top of me while you sleep, to sook that Vadey snuggles me when he’s supposed to be a tuff (sic) hard guard dog. I need you. I need your warmth. I miss you.

“I need to hear your voice. For you to tell me that everything is okay and you’ll always be with me.

“You promised. You pinky swore bubs.

“I’m still waiting for your loud arse snoring to wake me up and for this to be the worst nightmare ever.

“Forever and always my gangsta cowboy baby, until we meet again.”

Ryan’s brother Bo Passmore shared a tribute on social media, saying he was the man he looked up to and he was so proud of everything he had accomplished.

“You are my best friend and the person I went to for everything,” he wrote.

“There isn’t enough words in the world to say how much I love you.

“The photos and the memories are endless.”

More messages have poured in on social media as family and friends shared their loving memories of Ryan.

A look at his social media showed Ryan had many friends and was a typical bloke with a love for camping, fishing and motorbikes.
