A MAJOR blow has been dealt to at least 100 workers after seven restaurants of a popular fast food chain closed down north of Brisbane
Seven Red Rooster restaurants did not open today after its owner Sunstate Foods Pty Ltd went into voluntary administration on Monday afternoon, according to 7 News reports.
The restaurants closed are located on the Sunshine Coast at Buderim, Currimundi, Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore, Noosa Civic Centre and Mary St, Noosa, and in Moreton Bay at Burpengary and Deception Bay.
Administrator Robson Cotter Insolvency Group told media that there was no money available to keep the restaurants open and therefore staff were immediately notified their jobs no longer existed.
