The couple, of Petrie, north of Brisbane, enjoyed a ceremony and reception at Maleny’s picturesque Old Dairy, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

Eighty invited guests looked on as they tied the knot overlooking the stunning Glass House Mountains.

The theme was rustic country.

How did Aaron propose?

It was June 2018 in Melbourne. I was there for work and Aaron flew down by himself to meet me.

He is scared of flying and also very nervous about the ring he was carrying. He proposed at Melbourne Southbank.

Honeymoon?

Tasmania for 2½ weeks, followed by a short stay in Melbourne on the way home.

Special memories?

Walking down the aisle with my mother beside me, through the Bell Tower, past all our guests to the landing overlooking the magnificent view of the Mary Valley.

And truly unforgettable was Jackson’s best man speech. Sometimes shy, he walked over to the microphone and spoke to the 80 guests so confidently, and he had everyone laughing and crying — delivering his speech straight from the heart. It was very emotional.

Best advice for other couples planning
a wedding?

Guest lists can be overwhelming with unrealistic expectations. If you have to keep to a particular number for budget or venue capacity reasons just include the people you love dearly and who you both share a special relationship with.

Also, delegate. Everyone will feel much more a part of your day if they have some important duties, they have made something or built something for your big day.
