A man has died after a vehicle overturned north of Toowoomba, after the death of a motorcyclist southwest of Brisbane on New Year’s Eve.

A MAN has died after the vehicle in which he was travelling overturned north of Toowoomba.
The incident occurred about 10.30am at the intesection of Merritts Creek and Pechey-Maclagan roads, Pechey.
The police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist has died after crashing into a tree on a median strip southwest of Brisbane on New Year’s Eve.
It was one of several serious crashes around the state, with three people critically hurt, and comes after a pedestrian died after being hit by a car on the Sunshine Coast yesterday morning and after three people died on Queensland roads the day before.
In the crash southwest of Brisbane, police say a 33-year-old Morayfield man was riding along Sinnathamby Boulevard at Springfield Central about 6.40pm when he lost control.
The motorbike hit a tree in the centre median strip.

The man was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition, but died a short time later.
No one else was involved in the accident and investigations are continuing.
And a serious crash in the Sunshine Coast hinterland has left a man fighting for his life.
A 21-year old man is in a critical condition after his car crashed into a tree on Blackall Range Rd, West Woombye, last night.
Emergency services responded to the incident at around 8.50pm. The man was the sole driver of the vehicle and was trapped in the wreckage for almost an hour.
Police and paramedics were able to free the patient from the vehicle and took him to Nambour Hospital at around 10pm.
He was later flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital at around 11pm with serious head and chest injuries.
Police and the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the incident.
A 19-year-old man is also fighting for life after a single-vehicle rollover at Agnes Water, between Bundaberg and Gladstone.
The crash happened just before 11pm when the Audi sedan he was driving left Captain Cook Drive near Thomson St and rolled “a number of times”, according to police.
“Initial investigations indicate the driver and sole occupant, a 19-year-old man, was thrown from the vehicle,” police said.
The man was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains in a critical condition.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
On the Gold Coast, a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian left a woman briefly pinned between two vehicles.
The crash happened about 6.45pm on Millaroo Drive at Helensvale and left the woman with serious leg injuries.
Critical care paramedics attended the scene and the patient was taken in a stable condition to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
In Kabra, southwest of Rockhampton, a man in his 20s was left with serious head, chest and pelvis injuries when the vehicle he was in rolled on the Capricorn Hwy just before 5.30am today.
He was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a critical condition.
In Geham, north of Toowoomba, a man suffered head injuries after the motorbike he was riding crashed on Groomsville Rd about 9.40pm last night.
He was taken in a stable condition to Toowoomba Hospital with critical care paramedic in attendance.
Meanwhile a 38-year-old male skateboarder sustained significant head injuries after he fell and hit his head on the road.
Emergency services responded to the reports of the crash at around 9.30pm last night near Oceanic Drive at Wurtulla.
The man was initially taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital before being transferred to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
Police and the Forensic Crash Unit are currently investigating the incident.
The incidents follow four earlier deaths on Queensland roads.
A pedestrian died after being hit by a car on the Sunshine Motorway at Mountain Creek yesterday morning.
Police say the 38-year-old Logan man was walking west in the east bound lane of the motorway near the Kawana Way exit about 12.30am.
A sedan that was travelling east struck the man and he died at the scene.
A woman died when the car she was travelling in plunged into the Noosa River Sunday night. The incident happened at Noosa North Shore about 9.15pm as a 4WD approached the ferry landing of the Noosa River on Maximillian Rd.
Police say the vehicle failed to stop and plunged into the river.
The driver, a 67-year-old Southport man, has managed to get out of the vehicle.
The sole passenger, a 69-year-old woman Wongawallan, on the Gold Coast, died at the scene.
Earlier on Sunday a man died and a woman is in a serious condition following a crash in Queensland’s Gympie region.
Police were called to the scene about 1.30pm today where a single vehicle had crashed into a tree on the Burnett Highway at Booubyjan, about 45km north of Goomeri.
Emergency services had to extract the two occupants of the van, a man and woman both aged in their 60s.
The woman was rushed to hospital in a serious condition with life-threatening injuries, but the man was declared dead at the scene.
It followed another fatal crash where a motorcyclist died in a crash at Woolloongabba in Brisbane’s east Sunday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the single-vehicle crash, near Longlands and Deshon streets, around noon.
The High Acuity Response Unit was part of the team who worked on the rider at the scene.
The Queensland Ambulance Service later said no patient was taken to hospital. Police later confirmed the rider had died.
