A man has died after his car hit a tree west of Warwick on Saturday morning.

Emergency Services were called to reports of a serious single-car crash on the corner of Spiers Creek Road and Stonehenge Rd at Stonehenge, about 8.05am.

The male driver, who was the only person in the car, was initially reported to be in a critical condition but police have since confirmed he sadly died at the scene.

It follows a series of crash tragedies across the state this week including two on the Bruce Highway which claimed the lives of a Sunshine Coast woman and Bundaberg teenager.
