An annual inter-state art competition will be bringing a celebrity guest judge to Mackay this year as thousands of dollars and notoriety are up for grabs.

Entries have opened for Mackay’s Art on Show exhibition, an art competition where local artists submit their work for the chance to win prizes across five sections, with a grand prize of $3,000 to the best overall.

Entries will be displayed over three days in August and be judged by Susi Muddiman, the director of the Home of the Art gallery on the Gold Coast.
