UPDATE 2PM: Police have obtained CCTV footage of a ram raid at a Mackay business where a thief used a stolen ute to smash into the store and steal two motorbikes.

Police are investigating whether a ute involved in a collision with police at North Mackay was linked to a ram raid of Bullet Bikes on Gordon St about 11pm Tuesday.

They said a stolen white 2017 Nissan Navara with registration 523 YAI reversed into the glass doors of the business.

An unknown man wearing a hi-vis shirt then got out of the ute and entered the business through the damaged glass.

A red Honda motorcycle was taken out of the business and loaded onto the ute’s tray.

A orange and white KTM motorcycle was then taken out of the business and also loaded onto the tray.

The stolen Nissan Navara then drove away from the area in the direction of Milton St.

Police found the red Honda motorcycle on the roadway at the intersection of Gordon St and Milton St after it allegedly fell off the tray of the ute.

The orange and white coloured KTM motorcycle has not yet been found.

Anyone with information should phone Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
