A man’s desire for a mid-flight smoke was too strong to resist after a recent trip to Proserpine.
The 35-year-old North Eton resident was arrested on the tarmac of Proserpine Airport after allegedly refusing to give up his e-cigarette.
Police will allege the man was a passenger on the November 25 commercial flight when he was spotted smoking in his seat.
The cabin crew warned the man about his behaviour.
Despite the warning, he allegedly continued to smoke the e-cigarette in his designated seat.
He also allegedly smoked in the passengers’ toilet on several occasions.

Once the plane touched down in Proserpine, police arrested the man.
He will appear in Proserpine Magistrates Court on January 10, 2022.
