The owner of a Mackay motorbike shop said “I’m not even upset anymore I’m just p*ssed off” after her store was broken into for the fourth time in 12 months.

CCTV cameras captured the moment a brazen thief wearing shorts, thongs, gloves, a hoodie and balaclava made off with a new 22 KX450 race bike about 11pm Wednesday.

The new 22 KX450 bike fitted with race number #85 had been sold and was awaiting pick up.

Mackay Kawasaki owner Vicki Burgess said she was offering $1000 “to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of this a*sehole”.

“I’m not even upset anymore I’m just p*ssed off,” she said.

“I’ve had enough … it’s getting beyond a joke.”

This comes barely a month after a ram raid at Mackay Bullet Bikes where two motorbikes were stolen in late June 2021.

Ms Burgess said she would “hate to think” how many times she had received a phone call informing that thieves had broken into her North Mackay shop.

“In the past 12 months, probably three or four times,” she said.

“The last one … they got through to our workshop and stole a bike … the time before that they ram raided the place, destroyed all the front doors and stole a bike.”

Ms Burgess hit back at offhand comments on social media about the business being insured.

“But the insurance goes up, you pay every time you have one of these happen,” Ms Burgess said.

She said in the 15 years she had run the business and countless break ins she had suffered through, “I think the guy who ram raided the place was the only one they caught”.

“He’s in jail but that doesn’t help us,” she said.

“You just never get the bikes back, you never catch them and you never hear anything, it’s just something you have got to put up with.”

This latest thief smashed his way in through an office window.

“We’ve put a $1000 reward up for anyone who can help us find who it is,” she said.

“This bike was already sold and was waiting for the customer to pick it up. That’s why it was sitting on the floor and had a battery … and had fuel in it.”

Ms Burgess said it was the first time a thief had broken in through the office window, every other time it had been through the workshop, showroom or main doors.

“And there was no hurry, the alarms were going off … just brazenly, just no stress,” she said, adding she believed this was not a first-time offender.

“And he’s in shorts and thongs, I mean, come on.”

A Queensland Police spokesman confirmed officers were investigating the theft and appealed for anyone with information or dashcam footage in the area at that time to come forward.
