A 27-year-old Beaconsfield man has died in a fatal motorcycle crash at the bridge on Pleystowe, west of Mackay, on Wednesday afternoon.
Police believe the motorcyclist was riding as part of a group when he and a trailer attached to a vehicle travelling north collided just after 1.40pm.
The other riders and members of the public came to his aid, however he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Pleystowe Connection Road was closed for several hours as investigators carried out their work, however it was open again by 6pm.
Diversions were in place and drivers travelling in this area were urged to seek an alternate route.
Fire crews were also called to the scene.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have relevant dash-camera footage, or CCTV from the area, to contact them.
Investigations are ongoing.
