Mount Pleasant Centre bomb threat investigations continue as police appeal to public for information

Police combed Mount Pleasant Centre after a bomb threat was phoned in to a speciality store raising the alarm.

Police are appealing for information as part of ongoing investigations into a bomb threat phone call to Mount Pleasant Centre on Wednesday.

Multiple police crews responded to the centre that was evacuated after the call was reported about 9.15am.

Hundreds of shoppers and workers were forced out of the shopping centre for more than two hours as police meticulously combed shops and cars.

No device was found.

Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Andrew McNamara said no one had been charged.

Police are now appealing for information from the public.

“If people have any information we urge them to contact Crime Stoppers,” Sergeant McNamara said.
