Daydream Island jet ski rider incident forces rescue helicopter out

A jet ski rider has caused alarm after an incident off the coast of Daydream Island forced a rescue helicopter to be called out.

A jet ski rider is being flown to Mackay after they were reportedly injured off of the coast of Daydream Island.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics were told of the incident about 2.20pm.

He said crews were called to the ferry terminal on Daydream Island, but a rescue helicopter was tasked.
