Car crash disrupts Bruce Highway in Mackay on Easter Saturday

There are reports of debris on the road at the intersection of Mackay-Bucasia Rd and the Bruce Highway after two cars collided.

A traffic crash has disturbed Easter Saturday morning in Mackay.

Just before 10am, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Mackay-Bucasia Rd and the Bruce Highway.

Emergency services arrived on scene about 10am.

Queensland Ambulance Service personnel took three patients in a stable condition to Mackay Base Hospital for further treatment.

One female in her 20s suffered a laceration to the head and another suffered an ankle injury, a QAS spokeswomen confirmed.

There were also reports of debris spread across the road.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the police conducted traffic control at the scene.
