A car has crashed into a ditch along the Bruce Highway near Bowen Airport.
Authorities were informed around 2.15pm about the incident.
Queensland Police are still on the way to investigate.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Service personnel and fire trucks remain on scene.
The driver has reportedly crashed backwards into a culvert.
A Queensland Ambulance representative said paramedics found there to be only minor injuries and left the scene after clearing the driver.
They said the driver refused a ride to hospital.
It is understood the driver tried to leave the scene against the advice of fire officers
