The northbound lane of the Bruce Highway is closed after a car rollover in the rain left a man encapsulated and with a broken arm.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said the car crashed into a power pole about 1.43pm in Farleigh, west of Mackay near the cross streets of Powells Rd and Chidlow St.
He said firefighters were working on freeing the encapsulated driver from the rolled car and confirmed a power pole was down.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics were assessing the man, who was in a stable condition with arm injury.
He was later transported to Mackay Base Hospital.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman confirmed northbound traffic was being turned around until a tow truck could remove the wreckage.
She said traffic was soon flowing both ways along the southbound single lane.
The QPS spokeswoman confirmed two smaller crashes occurred in the region as rainy weather affects road safety.
A single vehicle crash occurred on Mackay Bucasia Road and a two vehicle crash occurred on Milton St near the Memorial Pool in the city centre.
One lane on Milton Road heading towards Canelands Shopping Centre is closed and police are on scene for traffic control.
The Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said no serious injuries were recorded for either crash.
