Two men have been caught on CCTV allegedly stealing bundles of copper wire from an Ipswich business.
Police have released the footage, captured on Monday, November 3 between 6am and 6.30am at a Moffatt St, Ipswich BMX track, which shows two of the five people sought removing copper wire from the business.
Detectives investigating alleged copper wire thefts from multiple sites across Ipswich have appealed to the public to identify the two men pictured as well as others not seen on the footage.
The two men pictured are described as Caucasian in appearance, about 185cm tall with short brown hair.
One was wearing a red t-shirt with a full, dark beard and bald patch, and the other wearing distinctive red runners.
Three other people, believed to be a man and two women, were also seen at the location obscured by hooded jumpers, scarves and masks.
Police believe these people were in the company of a 38-year-old Silkstone man who was arrested last week and subsequently charged by Ipswich Detectives with 72 stealing offences.
Since October, public and private properties have been specifically targeted in unrelated incidents for copper wire.
The locations targeted include sporting clubs, energy infrastructure and private residences in the greater Ipswich area.
