Firefighters have been forced to rescue a woman from a car which rolled over on a major highway in Brisbane’s west resulting in major traffic delays.
The car rolled over at 1:54pm travelling eastbound on the Warrego Highway at an intersection on Shultz Road, Haigslea.
Emergency services confirmed there was only one female patient involved in the incident.
Firefighters arrived on scene at 2pm and used cutting gear to gain access to the rear of the vehicle to assist in her rescue.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the patient’s injuries were minor and she has been transported in a stable condition to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
One of the Warrego Highway eastbound lanes at Haigslea have been closed and some community members have reported backed up traffic along this exit.
Emergency services remain on scene.
