A MASSIVE $4 million upgrade is set to improve the dining and entertainment options at Redbank Plaza.

Retail First, which manages the Plaza,  announced the multimillion upgrade to the shopping centre, which will be primarily aimed at  strengthening the casual outdoor dining and cinema precinct, but will also include a fresh new look for the centre's level one and level three entries, flooring upgrades, carpark improvements and signage.

The announcement follows the extremely successful $4.5 million refurbishment of the new Cineplex Cinema which opened in March this year.

Centre Manager, Ms Belinda Hartas said that the new cinema complex had been a hit with the Ipswich community, and that these further changes would strengthen the overall cinema and dining experience.

"Feedback indicates that customers are loving the experience of the brand new cinema, especially the deluxe option, which is something our community deserved," she said.

"These changes underway will improve that overall experience from the moment you drive into the car park, supporting the cinema and dining options, and strengthening Redbank Plaza as a community hub."

The project is expected to take three months commencing mid-September, with all works completed before Christmas this year.

Ms Hartas said Redbank Plaza and all car parks would remain open during the works and all efforts will be made to ensure disruption to shoppers and current retailers is kept to a minimum.

The centre is yet to reveal which food vendors will be setting up shop once the project is complete.
