Queensland Police investigating after shots fired at Kirton St, Redbank Plains

Police have launched an investigation after shots were fired near a home at Redbank Plains on Sunday night.

Queensland Police Commissioner's message to victims of crime

Queensland Police detectives are investigating following multiple reports of shots being fired in Redbank Plains overnight.

About 11.45pm on Sunday May 15, police were called to Kirton St on reports of gunshots in the street near a home. A dirt bike and dark coloured vehicle were seen leaving the area shortly after.

Police confirmed nobody was physically injured.

It is understood the parties involved are known to each other and there is no ongoing risk to the community.

Witnesses, especially those with dashcam or CCTV footage, are urged to come forward.

It comes after a 27-year-old man was fatally shot by police after a “confrontation” at Ernest St, One Mile on Sunday.

Preliminary information indicates the Redbank Plains incident is unrelated to the One Mile incident.
