In the lead up to the main event on Friday, a storm cell moved into South East Queensland pushing some campers to seek higher ground and a dry place to sleep.

A CMC Rocks spokesman thanked campers for “being absolute troopers” during the rough weather event.
“Everyone was kind to each other and let the CMC Rocks sprit shine through the storm,” he said.

“There is plenty of sunshine on the way.”

The Bureau of Meteorology forecasts a dry and cloudy weekend at Willowbank, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 29 on Thursday.

The weekend long festivities, which officially began Wednesday, will provide a boost to Ipswich’s economy, while locals and visitors lose themselves in the music and create memories to last a lifetime.

A handful of American stars will be headlining the festival including, Brad Paisley and Kane Brown – alongside Aussie favourite Morgan Evans.
Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding said it was great to host the music festival at the Willowbank Raceway following the Covid-19 pandemic hiatus.

“This world class music event is a highlight for country music fans from all over Australia and around the world and we are thrilled it is back after a two-year break,” Mayor Harding said.

“CMC Rocks QLD not only brings national and international exposure to Ipswich it also injects millions of tourist dollars into the local economy.

“The fact this is the 15th anniversary of CMC Rocks just shows the loyalty it has from fans who keep coming back to enjoy five days of camping and great entertainment.”
