Three alleged Rebels bikie associates front court after police raid at Logan

A third alleged Rebels OMCG associate faced a rack of weapons charges at Ipswich Court after a police raid uncovered stolen firearms, 13kg of drugs and a dismantled lab.

Three of the six alleged associates of the Logan chapter of the Rebels Motorcycle Club have faced court, following last week‘s bikie raid south of Brisbane.

A bikie president and his six associates were charged after police raids on a home south of Brisbane uncovered stolen firearms, 13kg of drugs, and a dismantled lab, police allege.

Ipswich CIB and Taskforce Maxima raided the Holloway Rd home at Chambers Flat, Logan on September 16, where they allegedly found and seized 1kg of ice, 12kg of cannabis, seven firearms, a large range of ammunition and about $50,000 in counterfeit money.

Two stolen cars along with drugs and drug utensils were also found by police.

Victoria Point man Michael John De-La-Warr, who police allege is the president of the Logan chapter of the Rebels OMCG, was charged with a string of offences including possessing and producing dangerous drugs and unlawful possession of weapons.

Mr De-La-Warr’s alleged six associates included Katerina Mialkovsky, Jason Turner, Stephen Kakakios, Jeremy Egan.

Bethania man Jason Andrew Turner, 36, attended Ipswich Magistrate’s Court on September 30, and is currently released on bail.

He was charged with enter dwelling and commit an indictable offence, possess utensils or pipes that had been used, possessing anything for use in the commission of a crime, possessing anything used in the commission of a crime, possessing dangerous drugs, stealing, unlawful possession of weapons (10 or more weapons), and unlawful possession of weapons category A, B or M.

Mr Turner said he had been struggling to acquire legal funding and transport, and requested an adjournment to organise legal representation.

“I’m trying to get my life back on track,” he said.

Magistrate Andy Cridland adjourned the matter until October 28 in Ipswich Magistrates Court, and Mr Turner‘s bail was enlarged.

Jeremy Lee Egan faced Beenleigh Magistrates Court from behind bars on Tuesday, September 27, currently remanded at Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre according to Queensland Corrective Services.

Mr Egan, 38, of Browns Plains, faced one charge of possessing an unlawful weapon, one charge of receiving tainted property (firearm/ammunition), two charges of possessing dangerous drugs, and one charge of possessing utensils or pipes that had been used.

All five charges were adjourned until October 18 for a mention at Beenleigh Magistrates Court. Mr Egan will not be required to appear.

Mr Egan will remain remanded in custody until then.

Mr Kakakios, 27, from Mansfield was mentioned in Ipswich Magistrates Court on the same day, charged with one count of enter dwelling and commit an indictable offence.

Mr Kakakios, who is currently on bail, did not appear in court but was represented by defence lawyer Michael Kelly of Fallu McMillian Lawyers.

His matter was adjourned for hearing review on November 28 in Ipswich Magistrates Court, and his bail was enlarged.
