Police are giving the head of a bikie gang until 6.30pm to present at a police station to meet bail conditions which were set on Monday.

Under the conditions, Michael De-La-Warr, 39, the president of Logan Rebels, has to present and sign bail papers at a designated police station each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, between 8am and 6.30pm.

Police said there had been confusion over when Mr De-La-Warr’s first bail presentation was due after bail was granted on Monday.

They said he was due to sign in today, Wednesday, September 21, but they would not launch any search until bail conditions had been breached.

They said if he did not attend a police station by tonight, an investigation would then be launched.
That investigation would be to determine whether Mr De-La-Warr would be charged for breach of bail.

The bikie boss was arrested on Friday, September 16, following a major raid at Chambers Flat Logan.

Police allegedly found 1kg of ice, 12kg of cannabis, seven firearms, a large range of ammunition and about $50,000 in counterfeit money.

Mr De-La-Warr, along with six associates of the club, were charged with producing and possessing drugs and the unlawful possession of guns – some of which were allegedly stolen from Ipswich.

Mr De-La-Warr was granted bail at Southport Magistrates Court on Monday by Magistrate Joan White.

Ms White imposed several conditions, including that he not contact his co-accused and stayed at a nominated Crestmead, Logan, address.
