Getting to the end of high school is no easy feat, but these students have not only made it – they have excelled.
Whether math geniuses or wordsmiths, these young stars are among the brightest our region has to offer.
One such student was Cooloola Christian College dux Hayden Kernick, who achieved A Level Results in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematical Methods, Physics and Specialist mathematics and B Level Results in English.

Despite a stressful workload and subject selection, Mr Kernick said he still made time for his hobbies, including playing keyboard and going to the gym.
Mr Kernick said his biggest tip to students about to enter senior school would be to maintain a balanced schedule.
“It’s pretty important to keep a good balance,” he said.
“That way you won’t get burnt out and you can get through it fine.”
Mr Kernick will begin studying engineering at the University of the Sunshine Coast next year after receiving an early offer.
Hayden is among the list of the students who have each taken home the prestigious title of Dux for their respective cohorts.
The list is not exhaustive as some schools do not declare their Dux until early 2023 after ATAR results are released.
Where possible, students nominated as potential recipients at awards nights have been included.
This list is in no particular order.
