The Gympie region’s school formal season has come to an end for another year, but the fun has not stopped. Relive all of the stunning looks, memories and glamour with our mega gallery and videos.

Year 12 graduates across the Gympie region have celebrated their final school days in style.

As Schoolies Week takes off, graduates are ready to enter the real world and leave behind assignments, exams and school bells.

From classic cars to gorgeous gowns, stylish suits and luscious mullets, the students from Gympie have set the bar high when it comes to glamour.

With formal season coming to a close, The Gympie Times has compiled all of the memories and moments from the region’s high school formals.

Cooloola Christian College

Backlit by the setting sun on the school grounds, the graduates of Cooloola Christian College celebrated their formal in September.

Cool colours were certainly all the rage, with many of the girls donning their best blues and greens.

The importance of red couldn’t be underestimated though, with many red gowns lining the red carpet.

Victory College

If there was one thing to remember about Victory College’s 2022 formal, it was the cars.

From a Tesla to a Lamborghini, the students turned up in style – which was of course matched by the stellar outfits.

Navy and red were truly in fashion, with spectacular floral patterns and lacy gowns on display.

James Nash State High School

More than 100 James Nash students donned their best to attend the school’s formal at the Pavilion on November 16, 2022.

Red was by far the most popular colour, with yellow and blue coming close behind.

The highlight by far was a life-size cutout of A-lister Leonardo Di Caprio making a surprise appearance.

Gympie State High School

Stunning gowns, stylish suits at Gympie High 2022 formal

The final formal of the season, the Gympie High students celebrated their last days in style in November.

Mermaid gowns and oceanic hues were all the rage, with many of the students wearing their finest blues and greens.

One student even arrived escorted by the Gympie SES crew, complete with mascot Paddy the Platypus.
