Two men charged with 24 offences following series of rural break-ins

Two men have been charged over a series of break and enters between Maryborough and Gympie.
Ryleigh William Aristide Gibbon and Casey Wade Lawrence appeared in custody in Gympie Magistrate Court on Monday, September 26
The offences are alleged to have occurred between August 2 and September 22, 2022.
The two men are charged with gaining entry to a number of rural properties at Gundiah, Bauple, Gunalda, Ross Creek and Wallu areas and stealing items from inside.
The property stolen is alleged to have included vehicles, jewellery and power tools.
Both men, aged 29, appeared before Magistrate Chris Callaghan in the Gympie Magistrates Court on Monday.
Between them, they faced a combined 24 property, vehicle and weapon-related charges.
Mr Lawrence appeared before court on 10 charges and Mr Gibbon on 14 charges.
The two men were arrested by Gympie detectives around midday on Friday, September 23, 2022 at a Curra service station.
They were driving a vehicle which is alleged to have been stolen.
Investigations are ongoing into the break-ins and police have not yet revealed whether they believe there were more offenders.
The matters have been adjourned to October 24, 2022.
