K & N Auto Parts destroyed by blaze in centre of Gympie
An auto shop in the centre of Gympie is the second suspicious fire in less than a month with authorities battling the most recent for more than two hours.

A Gympie auto business has been gutted in a “suspicious” night-time blaze which fireys battled for more than two hours to extinguish.
Emergency crews were called to K & N Auto Parts, at the corner of Reef and Alfred streets, just before 8.30am Wednesday night.
A QFES spokeswoman said six crews and a senior officer spent the more than an two hours fighting the blaze, which started under the weatherboard and timber Queenslander before taking hold inside the shop.
They brought it under control about 10pm, and it was fully out about an hour later.
No-one was injured in the fire.
Fire investigators were expected to examine the burnt out building Thursday morning.
Police said the fire “is being treated as suspicious and investigations are continuing”
The building has been cordoned off with police tape, and a police car was still stationed outside it Thursday morning.
It is the second Gympie CBD shop to be destroyed in a blaze in one month.
An empty Mary St business suffered structural damage in a fire on Sunday September 4.
Three teenagers were arrested by police over the fire; police said all have been dealt with “under the provisions of the youth justices act”.
There is no suggestion of any connection between the two incidents.
