Teen girl suffers ‘life threatening’ injuries in Tin Can Bay crash
Two rescue helicopters have been sent to Tin Can Bay following a shocking crash on the township’s outskirts.

Two people, including a teenage girl with life-threatening injuries, have been flown to hospital following a shocking two-vehicle crash on the outskirts of Tin Can Bay.
Multiple emergency crews were called to the scene of the crash, near its entrance at the intersection of Tin Can Bay Rd, Bayside Rd, and Amity Place, shortly after 4pm Tuesday.
Fireys were forced to use hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the door of one of the vehicles and free the girl, and two rescue helicopters were sent out to the town.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the girl suffered multiple injuries in the collision.
A man of unknown age also suffered abdominal injuries, and both were taken to nearby Archery Park before being loaded onto LifeFlight helicopters.
It is understood they were expected to be taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
A third person, a man in his 50s, was reported to be in a stable condition.
It is unknown to what extent he may have been injured, and he was expected to be taken to hospital by ambulance.
