Police are hunting for two thieves who broke into a suburban Gympie property in the early hours of New Year’s Day and stole two cars.
Officers said Thursday the house, at Horseshoe Bend, was broken into about 5.40am on January 1.
The two offenders then took several items from the home, including keys.
They then gained access to two cars parked nearby, a 2005 Ford Falcon and a 2021 Mazda BT-50 ute and fled the area.
No-one at the property was harmed during the break-in, police said.
Investigations are still ongoing into the thefts.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen either of the cars, or who has relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.
