Police investigate crime spree on construction sites in Southside housing estates
Gympie housing estates were targeted in a series of arson, smashed property and break-in attacks. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Investigations have been launched following a series of arson, wilful damage and break-ins at housing estate constructions sites in Southside from Sunday night until early Monday morning.
Police were called to a worksite on Eagle Hawk Dr following reports a portable toilet and a power box were on fire, a press release said.
Police also found multiple houses under construction significantly damaged.
About 4.40am on Monday, police and fire crews were called to a building on fire at Excalibur Crescent that began in the roof space.
Fire crews fought the flames for about one hour before it was completely out.
Police found more houses had been significantly damaged, with one structure on fire, the press release said.
Windows, doors and cabinets were damaged and grout and plaster was strewn through the houses.
Concrete was thrown and smashed through the walls and stone benchtop were torn from a bench and shattered.
Police said uninstalled windows were destroyed and paint was poured into rooms of the houses in construction.
Police are appealing for anyone to come forward if they have CCTV or dashcam footage or anyone who noticed anything suspicious between 9.30pm, February 5 and 5am, February 6.
