Fire crews fight roof in flames at Sovereign Heights, Southside
Fire crews rushed to a new residential estate on the Southside early Monday morning after fire broke out in the roof of a house under construction.

Emergency services rushed to a housing estate on the Southside in the early hours of Monday morning to extinguish a fire that had broken out in the roof of a partially constructed home.

Three fire crews attended the blaze at in Sovereign Heights on Excalibur Crescent, with the first fire truck arriving at 4.40am.

The fire was well involved in a space in the roof, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said.
The house did not have any occupants and was still under construction.
Fire crews had the flames under control by 5am and it was completely extinguished about 6am, the spokeswoman said.
A fire investigator will be attending the scene on Monday.
