Man, woman arrested in Gympie on multiple charges including drugs and fraud

Two people arrested in Gympie are accused of committing multiple offences across the region, and across Noosa, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.

Police allege a 36-year-old Taringa man was involved in multiple offences in Goomboorian, Gympie, Caloundra, Scarborough and Eight Mile Plains between November 2022 and January 2023.

The 36-year-old Taringa man was with 17 offences including two counts of entering premises and committing indictable offence by break, four counts of unlawful possession of motor vehicles with intent to deprive, one count of unlawful possession of motor vehicles, aircraft or vessels with intent to deprive, wilfully destroyed, damaged or removed, two counts of receiving tainted property, one count of failing to take reasonable care and precautions in respect of syringe or needle, one count of possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence, five counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count of possessing utensils or pipes that had been used.

He will face Gympie Magistrates Court on February 20.

Police also allege a 35-year-old Wilsons Pocket woman was involved in multiple offences in Goomboorian, Gympie, Caloundra, Scarborough, Eight Mile Plains, South Brisbane, Caboolture North, Kenmore and Noosaville between September 2021 and January.

The woman was charged with 29 offences including five counts of unlawful possession of motor vehicles with intent to deprive, three counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, one count of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, one count of enter dwelling and commit, two counts of stealing, four counts of possessing tainted property, three counts of receiving tainted property, one count of use thing to forge document, two counts of possessing dangerous drugs, one count of possess utensils or pipes that had been used, two counts of obtaining or dealing with identification information, two counts of fraud, one count of fail to take reasonable care and precautions in respect of syringe or needle and one count of contravening order about information necessary to access information stored electronically.

She will also face Gympie Magistrates Court on February 20.
